NBSC Hospital Management System

A Laravel-based hospital management system built for NBSC, covering patient records, appointment scheduling, and staff and doctor management. I was brought in by a friend's capstone team to scaffold the architecture and design the screens that gave their project direction.

Background

The team had already started but were stuck — no clear UI/UX direction, no defined screen structure, and no sense of what to build next. A friend brought me in specifically to untangle that and lay a solid foundation. The catch: I was simultaneously building KOSHI for a separate competition project, both manually coded with no AI coding tools at a time when that kind of assistance simply wasn't reliable yet.

Challenge

Working across two full projects at once — without Cursor, Claude Code, or any meaningful AI assistance — was mentally draining. For NBSC specifically, the challenge was quickly getting up to speed on their requirements, designing a coherent set of screens from scratch, and scaffolding a clean Laravel architecture they could confidently build on after I handed it off. Getting them unstuck and pointed in the right direction was the entire job.

Goal

To give the capstone team what they were missing: a clear UI/UX foundation and a working project structure they could take forward independently. I designed the key screens, built the scaffolding, and handed it off — their capstone launched successfully, and the experience showed I could step into someone else's project under pressure and make an immediate impact.
