Full Stack Web and Mobile Developer & UI/UX Designer
Food Sentinel is a full-stack catering platform built as a school project, featuring real-time order tracking via WebSocket, a unified admin dashboard handling both web and mobile orders, and a custom UI/UX designed across the entire stack.
The project was built around a straightforward but real problem: catering businesses still rely on phone calls and messages to take orders, and customers are left with no visibility on where their order stands. Food Sentinel was designed to address both — giving customers live order tracking and giving admins a single dashboard where web and mobile orders flow in together.
My responsibilities spanned UI/UX design, frontend development across web and mobile, and implementing the WebSocket integration on both clients to power live order updates. The trickiest part was keeping web and mobile orders reliably synced in the admin dashboard in real time, while also ensuring the interface held up visually and functionally across two very different platforms. Balancing design quality with engineering depth — across the full stack — was the defining challenge of this project.
To build a catering platform that felt production-ready: real-time, intuitive, and consistent across web and mobile. The project earned top marks from our professors, with the real-time order tracking standing out as the feature that set it apart from typical school submissions.
