Kaamulan Blog

A static blog built to showcase the culture and traditions of Bukidnon's Kaamulan festival. Designed and developed solo using pure HTML and CSS — no frameworks, no libraries.

Background

Built as a school requirement early in my development journey, this was one of the first times I had to think about a web page not just as working code but as a designed experience — with real content, real layout decisions, and a subject worth doing justice to.

Challenge

Working with just HTML and CSS meant every layout, spacing, and typography decision had to be solved from first principles. No framework to fall back on, no utility classes — just the fundamentals applied deliberately across the entire site.

Goal

To meet the requirement while genuinely learning from it. Building this solidified the front-end basics — layout and page structure, typography and readability, and responsive design for mobile — that quietly underpin every project built since.
